Sports Betting Bill Passes in Maryland Legislature

Maryland’s legislature passed a bill that will allow voters to decide whether sports betting is legal or not in November.

On 17th March, SB 4 was passed by the House of Delegates through a 129-3 vote. The bill awaits Gov. Hogan’s approval, after which it is going to be a nationwide referendum matter come November.

Isai Scheinberg the Founder of Poker Stars Voluntarily Hands Himself Over to the U.S. Authorities

Isai Scheinberg landed in the United States after a long time to hand himself over to the federal authorities to face charges arising from Black Friday indictments.

A few months ago, federal prosecutors tried to extradite him to the U.S., but he fought it. He later realized that he was going to lose, and on 17th January, he surrendered to the U.S federal agents.

Once arraigned in court, he pleaded innocent and was released on $1 million bail. On 25th March, however, Scheinberg pled guilty of operating an illegal wagering business. He now faces up to 5 years in jail.
